SPOT IT...

So, how well do you know me? This is my freezer in my garage. Isn't she beautiful? She was a gift!! (over a year and a half ago) She holds tons and tons of wonderful goodies for my wonderful little family. Salmon is a biggie in here, chicken breasts and of course the kids faves .... sorbets from Costco (ok...they are my fave but whatever)

We cleaned her today. Spic and Span... bleach and all.
Can anyone guess what is wrong with this picture?
*HINT* Most of you know I am a coupon sense freak and....if I could post my own head nearly exploding, I would!!!

My lovely garbage can is full and this has to still find a home...

because from top to bottom... this is what the garbage can looks like. WELCOME SUMMER... WITH NO POPSICLES, ICE CREAM SANDWICHES OR OTTER POPS NOW!

Now for anyone cringing at all the food that looks like it is being wasted. I thought of salvaging anything I could... The freezer door has been open at least 2 days and the raw meat liquid had seeped into everything.

And, I think I may start drinking now BECAUSE THERE IS REALLY NO USE CRYING OVER $1000.00+ WORTH OF DEFROSTED, RUINED FOOD ... RIGHT??

NOTE TO SELF: FROM NOW ON STORE MEATS AND FROZEN LIQUIDS ON BOTTOM OF FREEZER AND BREADS AND BOXES OF CRACKERS ON THE TOP..... AND LOCK THE FREEZER!!!! DADDY-TAKE A DEEP BREATH BEFORE YOU COME DOWNSTAIRS AND JUST KNOW THAT PUNSHMENT HAS ALREADY BEEN SET FOR THE CHILD THAT DID THIS. NO MORE YELLING OR HEAD EXPLODING TODAY. WE NEED AT LEAST ONE PARENT THAT IS NOT IN A STATE OF ROTTEN GARBAGE HAZE!!

Oh that is so sad. What an awful feeling. But I am guessing it isn't Brinkley since she came to see if the girls could play. Hmmm and is Jax still sick? Otr was he in there getting a popsicle? Except those are Pugde's fav. too. My guess is Pudgie.

What a fun night out you had last night. Where did you go?

it's just food.....the kids are healthy and it's summer LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!!! no biggie Jax accidents happen......

I agree. NO BIGGIE!

Yep Shanen, it was Jax. He thought I was going to hit the roof and Daddy was going to... well... be really mad.

I told him his punishment is to go through coupons with me, while reading the ads, cut them out and then he has to go shopping with me and help unload everything at home. Pretty simple and no yelling.

We had a great time last night. We just went down to Tailgaters Grill. It was awesome to get outta the house on a night Tommy was working!!

Todd was reading your FB update and started to read it to me, I turned my laptop toward him to show I was reading the blog post. We're both so sad for your poor freezer. But on the flip side, at least it was thawed for you and ready for a good cleaning! Nothing like being forced to do a dirty job. Food can be replaced and I'm betting that popsicle tasted so good!

Now you understand my "canning" obsession. With kids, frozen just never worked for us.

I HAVE TO SAY, WHEN WE WERE CLEANING OUT THE FREEZER, JAX TURNED TO ME AND SAID, "WELL, LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, I AM SURE HALF OF THIS FOOD WAS EXPIRED (WRONG) AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ANYWAY!"

NOTHING LIKE A 9 YEAR OLD TO MAKE YOU GO FROM HEAD EXPLODING ANGER TO LAUGHING UNCONTROLLABLY WITHIN SECONDS.

HE ALSO HAD TO POLISH THE RIMS ON THE ESCALADE AFTER BINKY AND I WASHED HER. I THINK HE HAS GOTTEN OFF PRETTY EASY WITH THIS ONE.

(IT HELPS HE PULLED STRAIGHT A'S ON HIS REPORT CARD AND HE DEALT ME THE "DON'T FORGET HOW WORRIED YOU WERE SITTING NEXT TO ME IN THE E.R. WHEN MY FEVER ALMOST GOT TO 105 AND I STARTED CRYING BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO DIE"

SIMPLE PERSPECTIVES!!

Oh this really just makes your stomach sick! It's happened to us a few times and I just hate it. I did learn though to store the expensive items such as meat at the bottom and the cheap stuff on the top- except the bad part is the kids eat the cheap stuff and can't reach it very well, but I won't give in. I MUST keep my meat on the bottom two shelves.

Oh, I'm sorry. I wish I could say that it's never happened to me... but it has many times. So sorry for your loss.
