Stubborn

Pudgie is just being stubborn. The bad part about it is that it is freaking me out. Or, it was, until tonight. Pudgie does not want to talk. He does talk, just not enough. Seriously, not enough. The grunting and groaning is getting old and the pointing with the screaming at the top of his lungs is killing me.

Then came dinner tonight. I was joking with my friend that Pudgie has been repeating phonograms and reading letters saying the sounds the kids use at school. They have learned the Spalding method to read. I never really thought much about it until tonight when he pointed to Ruth's Baja Fresh cup, then touched the "O" and said, "Ahh, OOOOOOOOOOHHH, EEEEWWWWWW."
Seriously! Then he pointed to the "S" on my T-shirt and said, "SSSSSSSSSSSSSS." Something is clicking. Very strangely for a 2 and a half year old, but I will take this kind of clicking. He finally got out some other words tonight... like treats and sleep, which I was not as excited about. I may have to put this little boy through some phonogram exercises over spring break or something! Maybe he would rather read than talk! Could you imagine?
WAY TO GO PUDGIE MAN!
Daddy will be so proud to hear you tomorrow!
