11 in 11

I don't know where the years go.  It seems like just yesterday I was holding a newborn baby boy in my arms, not knowing what I was doing as a mom.

Now I have a young man that is nearly as tall as me, gets straight A's in school out of boredom, a young man that realizes that other little boys look up to him and we are trying to teach him that his actions speak loud...and these, "littles'" mimic him.  I watch him excel in football and basketball and then have fun with friends of all ages.  Everyday this boy just amazes me.

Today we celebrated Jax's brithday with a very low key lunch at Olive Garden.  The big guy got to take the day off of school and just hang out doing whatever he wanted to.   He slept in... a long, long time.  After measuring him and realizing that within the month of December alone, he grew over an inch plus,  now I realize why he has been sleeping so very much.  He is growing again!!!  He chose to hang out with his dad and play his new video games. This weekend we will finish up celebrating as a family and have some fun with all 5 of us together!!!

Happy Birthday Jax.  You are so very loved Big Guy!!!!

PINK GLOVES and a Golden Trophy

Adrenaline was running high all week in our house.  Practices were a little more amped, it was a little harder to concentrate on homework, even I had to rethink my daily things that really needed to get done...outside of taking care of my "other 25 boys."  The last six months of Jax's work had come down to his final game of the season....  The AZYSFO State Championship game between the Titans and the Vikings.

During Wednesday's practice, Jax ripped his beloved pink gloves.  The gloves that we had bought for the month of October.  The gloves that had brought him touchdown after touchdown and win after win.   The gloves that everytime a player made fun of him for wearing, he flattened them, sacked them, tackled them, or just flat out, took them out.  He made the last minute decision to switch to one black and white and one pink.  Whatever works.

During Friday nights practice, one of the Dad's and I met with Steve Breaston, #15, of the AZ Cardinals.  He graciously handed over 53 tickets to Sunday's game against the Rams along with hats, food and drink vouchers and parking passes.  Just to do a good deed for the boys. The story of how it all came about is way to long to even go into, but I can only hope that anyone reading about Jax today, decides TO PAY IT FORWARD too.  I quickly calculated that he donated over $700.00 worth of goodies to our TITANS family and man do we feel loved!!

ONTO THE BIG GAME.......

With all that adrenaline flowing, eye black smeared, signs waving, freshly patched knees, coolers filled, hearts racing, and 21 TITANS anxiously waiting to hear their names called out before the whilstles blew, I said one quick prayer to keep these boys healthy and unhurt during this final game of their JPW season.

Our first half did not go very well.  We scored only one touchdown but had over 75 yards in penalties for false starts, off sides and tackling in the back field.  Our little guys were anxious and making a lot of mistakes.  Thankfully our defense was holding strong, as always, and the Vikings were not able to score. At halftime I could see how upset Jax was.  He was beyond angry and could barely contain tears of frustration.  The only words that came out of his mouth were, "I WANT MY PINK GLOVE MOM!"  After a coaches talk and some quick oranges our boys came back with a new outlook on the game.

The third quarter brought on a few penalties at the start but the Vikings finally stopped covering the BIG BOY and on came his first touchdown, pushing the score up to 12-0.  Jax was excited and finally found his groove again.  He had been making all his tackles and hitting everyone but had way too many kids covering him to risk a pass his way.  Later in the night Jax told me that he finally looked at David, our quarterback, and told him, "I can't drop the ball (shaking his hands that were now wearing both pink gloves   .......throw to me." David agreed..... and the Titans came alive again.

A few plays later Jax scored his second touchdown of the game. This boy was psyched beyond belief.  he was all over the field, making tackles right and left and made a huge fumble recovery to allow for the final touchdown of the game.  The game came to an end with the TITANS victorious with a score of 26-6.  I couldn't wait to pass out their golden CHAMPION medals.  I took a chance buying them in advance but knew these boys were that good that they would win.

It wasn't until each boy had their medals and I went to put Jax's around his neck that I realized that he had HUGE tears of joy streaming down his face.  That was when I lost it.  I had been completely emotional all week about this game but really tried hard to keep it in check.  He was so happy and I was so proud.  A few of the other moms kind of made fun of me about me crying, others started getting tears in their eyes when they saw mine...either way.... I didn't care...... my kid scored two touchdowns and played his heart out for this team and I was simply PROUD beyond words!

You earned the right to be called a CHAMPION Jax.  You earned that Huge golden trophy for your Coach and your played your heart out with those pink gloves....even with all those boys that had the nerve to make fun of you for wearing them.  You had the last laugh though didn't you?  I will miss your team as you move up to a new level next season.  It will be bigger and stronger boys and you will have to train to meet the demands of that team.  I know you can do it.  You have proven yourself this season.  You proved you are capable of being a top athlete, an honors student and wonderful son.  Not that any of those were ever in question!!!!  Keep up the great work.......Just make sure you take a shower!!!!!!

Dear Jax,

Everyday I hear I have yet to blog again, it has been so many days since I have blogged or, Mom, why haven't you blogged?  Well, kiddo, here it is. Just for you.

As you read this, I hope you keep in mind, that it is not just for you.  It is about our entire family.  Your season is coming to an amazing end this Saturday.  No matter what the outcome, you have come a long way in 6 months.  You trained hard, you learned from amazing men, you listened, you worked as a team, you worked on your own, you gained knowledge and muscle mass and size...Lord did you gain size.... and you matured.  We are very proud of you.  No matter how your game ends, know that you have won.  You learned what it felt like to lose a game that was lost on uncertain terms and you learned what victory felt like.

I hope that you realize that it has been a long 6 months for your entire family.  Every person has given up time, energy, and other things to always be there to support you and your love of football.  From the 4 days a week practices to 4 days a week with practices and games, it has never been easy to get everything in and make it seem simple, but everyone has given it their best for you so that you could be successful on that field every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and on game day Saturday.  Please don't ever forget that Jax.  It has been so much more a part of your success than just your practices, than you will ever realize.  No matter what your little sister or brother may say or do, they look up to you and respect the young man you are becoming and the athlete that you are.  Don't ever tarnish that image Jax.  It is an honor to hold such a place in a family.

I hope you know how proud I am of you.  I listen to parents talk about you and how many of them are shocked that this is your first fall season. You are still my little boy even if you stand nose to nose with me.  I want you to do your best on Saturday and when that last second ticks away, hold your head high, because no matter what, your family will be there with you, proud as ever for the season you have had and the player you have become.

I Love You!
Mom

TEAMS AND WORK

I am Jax's team manager for his tackle football team. They don't call it the team mom because it is seriously a job. If I have the weights on the boys off, or their information is not correct, their pictures are blurry or anything... a game if forfeited to the other team. It is seriously crazy busy keeping all the stuff right on track for these boys. More so, the real problem, is keep parents on track. It should be pretty easy to figure out why I need your medical insurance paperwork seeing as that we have already had one lil guy go down with a broken arm. Alas, I have to chase down parents like a kindergarten teacher rounding up her students after recess. SAD.

So, a few nights ago, I got a phone call from a concerned parent, and it made me sad. His son is and or was, being singled out, for whatever reason, by two of the boys on the team. Dad felt more comfortable coming to me than the coach, which might be understandable... no not really. At any rate... the word TEAMWORK came up a lot in our house after I had this conversation with the dad and then at our practice. (SADLY, AFTER THIS DISCUSSION AT PRACTICE, THE SAME LITTLE GUY BROKE HIS ARM... PURE COINCIDENTAL AND ACCIDENTAL) I was somewhat angered that anyone on a team would intentionally hurt another child when he was working at being a better player. It happens all the time, I know.

I asked my guy about it. Had he seen anything bad going on or heard anything. His answer was no. He doesn't lie so I was sure that he wasn't really paying attention to anyone but himself during these times.

The truly ironic part about learning that there is no "I" in TEAMWORK, this week, is that my other biggest boy is dealing with this issue as well. And since I won't go into the dirty details. I will say that our family has really gotten schooled on this subject a lot in 4 measly days.

I stressed it to everyone since they seem to think that no one needs to pick up their school work, or their shoes, or worse yet, boy parts of their football uniform. I had to make threats (which I will go through with them no matter how gross it is going to sound) to put all their crap, junk, garbage and items that have kitchen cabinet item names.... (yep, I am talking my 10 year olds football cup) on top of them or on their face while they sleep... if I find them on my counters, kitchen or dining room table, in the downstairs bathroom, on any furniture downstairs or remotely close to food items in the pantry.

We either work as a TEAM or I will punish you all as your Coach.

In reality, I am too tired to care this week... but for the time being, they don't need to know that!~

212 degrees - The Extra Degree

THE KIDDOS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HAS SORT OF TAKEN THIS ONE ON AS THEIR MOTTO THIS YEAR. WE HAD THIS ON OUR BLOG 2 YEARS AGO FOR MOTIVATION IN OUR WORKOUTS. I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS STILL EXTREMELY APPROPRIATE FOR ALL THE HARD WORK JAX HAS BEEN PUTTING IN ON THE FIELD, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.

I half JOKED WITH HIM....... NO MATTER WHAT.. YOU PUSH FOR THE EXTRA DEGREE AND YOU WILL BE AMAZED HOW FAR YOU CAN GO!!!! WE WILL SEE HOW MUCH PRACTICE CHANGES THIS WEEK!!!

Facing the Giants

I was shocked at how amazing this movie was. In the beginning I could tell that Jax was not very into it. It was very "churchy" but Tommy and I told him to listen and to watch and give the words some real consideration.

By the end of the movie, I was in tears, Brinkley was actually liking the whole movie, and Jax.. Jax he "GOT IT!!"

I was so excited when Tommy randomly threw out there, "what do you think the meaning was behind the movie?"

Jax immediately said, "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!!"

Pity Party

Well, truth be told, I had one tonight, and I am so not proud of it. Seriously.

I acted like a kinder having a meltdown and no one really even noticed... seeing as that there was no one here to really notice and the ones still present... were too busy with friends to have any idea anything was going on so I am guessing it was really no big deal.

SWEET!

When I got my "smart phone" I never fathomed all the goodies I would get to do with it. My biggest lifesaver... the emails directly to my phone. I am horrible about checking my home computer email so I have one email that I give out to a select few, to send things directly to my phone..... for important stuff.. you know PORN... I am kidding peeps!

At any rate, the last two weeks have taken its toll and by Thursday, our kinder was beyond melt down. He had hit complete disaster mode and could no longer even function. He stayed home from football with daddy and had an amazing night. Brinkley should have stayed home but I let her come to hang out with the girls, who were not even at practice. She was beat down by practices end. I think the fact that I make her run drills with the boys and at the end, she runs the suicides with the boys as well, just adds to the sheer exhaustion at the nights end.

Today we fell out of bed and laughed at the fact that it is Friday the 13th. Jax keeps repeatedly reminding me that he wants to watch that series of movies. I am pretty sure I was about his age when I started watching them. It will take until he is in high school to even finish them since there are like 897 of them now. The day went beyond smoothly for all of us.

Tommy and I spent some much needed together time at Paradise Bakery having brunch and adult conversation about his new job and the kids and catching up, literally, on the past two months that he has been presently absent for. I am not exaggerating about that at all either. It is so easy to see why cops are amongst the highest divorce rates out there. Most women can't deal with the daily menage a trois of work and family and death and court and dirt bags and phone calls and everyone else's problems and text messages at all hours of the night and blah blah blah. Seriously... people really wonder if I exaggerate that I only sleep 3-4 hours at night... come play with me!!!! You will see. With my boys position at work I always joke, we have taken on 8 new families consisting of 7 wives, 19 children, 7 husbands, many animals, psychiatric problems, scheduling dilemmas that would make your head spin, court dates, conflicting court dates, car issues, blah blah blah. It is all fun and games around here!!! Until someone pulls out one of the cards that is keeping everything balanced and then we are up the creek!!!! But we keep it all together and pretty darn well!! Until I melted down today...

We had a new schedule to deal with for work, and then a new revised football schedule that was going to save some serious family sanity and I was already ready to handle the next two weeks with some serious energy.... until the email hit the phone.

I wanted to fall over. (Going from 5 days a week for the first two weeks to 3 days a week was like snow in summer in Phoenix. We were amped to drop down to that and then we were told there would be no Friday practices due to parks with lights constraints. SWEET. I could handle 2 practices a week for 8 hours gone from the house time frame. I was oozing happy.......) We were switching back to the regular schedule to enhance conditioning and ensure athletic performance.....5 days a week again....4 hours a night. AAAAGGGHHHH! I updated my calendar, which might scare some people to look at right now, sucked it up, did a workout, and got over it. I had to break the news to Jax. It went over like a lead balloon in a kindergarten classroom. We will survive.

Then, while waiting for the house to fill up with every ones friends for our very, very impromptu sleep over... I started watching Dr. Phil. Yeah, I felt like a total D-bag dumb ass for even thinking about a pity party, let alone having one. Of all nights to complain about anything, Dr. Phil has on a couple having marriage strains due to the fact that they are the only couple ever documented with triplets that are blind and deaf. They then explained all their struggles and the scheduling and teaching issues and inability to educate the girls on their own without the help of professional assistance, how the husband felt very inadequate as a father for not being able to fix everything and please his wife and remain completely successful at work. Basically he thought he was slowly failing and the house of cards was falling in around him as he spoke. I choked on ice as he was talking.

Yeah, I have no room to whine or complain, to bitch, moan, or be anywhere near disgruntled. Tired is fine, but I sucked it up and onward we move. We have it good. Seriously. I play single mom more days than not around here, but unlike one of my friends... she lives it. Her husband is preparing to deploy, yet again, to the most dangerous area in the middle east, to continue his job of loading and off-loading the bombs to the bombers and boats and planes to transport them. And by loading them, I mean he readys them to explode. Yeah, who's complaining now? She is single mom more than she is not. Her kids don't know what it is like to have Daddy around more than 30 days a year. Her boy doesn't get extravagant pay nor does he get hazard pay. Damn skippy, that boy keeps all of us safe at night, and day! 'nuff said, I'd say.

And damn skippy, this girl has no right to bitch that she gets to take her kids to football practice at a beautiful green park, in a very expensive Escalade with more t.v.'s in it than most homes, watching 2 of her healthy kids climb tress and laugh and play with new friends while big brother does drill after drill to expand his agility and knowledge of the game, four hours a night all week long. No right to complain at all that I am tired and my house is not spotless and someone left a dirty sock under the dining room table where we never even sit at, let alone take our clothes off at, or the fact that said kiddos have been eating fast food 3 nights a week because it is just to late to cook when we get home and they need to get their tiny tired rear ends into bed.

YEAH, NO WHINING HERE.

It is Friday the 13th here and to celebrate all our good fortune and fun and crazy madness, we opted into a very impromptu sleep over. It all happened so darn fast that I am still wondering exactly how it happened. Happy Friday night!!!

"TITANS"

CAN YOU GUESS WHICH ONE IS JAX????

(I have yet to admit to anyone but....alas, when the kiddo is all geared up and ready to go, he is taller than me. That has to stop!!!)

As it goes, the past two weeks have been nothing less than havoc in our family. Four hours every night has been devoted to football practice. MANDATORY football practice. The kind where, I as the team manager, takes roll and if you are absent, we choose days for make up practice, on the weekend, because they take it that serious this season, that you are in s
hape and prepared for the traveling and are ready to go at it.

It has taken its toll on us all in big ways this week, but last night I found myself oozing with Mom pride as one of the Dad's approached me, to talk about Jax. He introduced himself, although, I know all the Mom's and Dad's pretty much, and then he reminded me of his sons name. He wanted to let me know what a, "good young man" Jax is. I was happy with the statement and really didn't feel it would go much farther than that. Then he continued, first, he had to ask me how old he was again, just to make sure....TEN! Then he was overly curious about his shoe size.... mens 12! Finally he said, "I just want you to know what a good boy he is. Monday, when we jumped the gun and started full-contact hitting without the directors approval, Jax was teamed up with Dalton and hit Dalton pretty hard, twice. Each time Jax immediately went over to Dalton, helped him up, did the boys smack the back and asked him if he was ok. At the end of practice Jax again, checked to make sure Dalton was ok, shook his hand and complimented him on a great practice." Dalton then went to his father and told him how Jax was worried about him and repeated the story to his father and ended with, "Dad, Jax is really big and it hurts when he hits you... and I know he was no where near full speed."

I was so happy to see a parent that recognized that Jax is such a good kid. He hates when his own team mates get hurt, especially by his own doing, which is never ever intentional. I am so proud of how hard this kiddo is working at school and then giving 110% on the field every night. It is not easy to keep your cool when your core temp is reaching boiling 4 hours a night 5 nights a week, and then continuously getting 100% on your AR tests, reading to your little brother or your little sister every night, almost completeing that AR goal for the entire first quarter...3 weeks into school, trying to help around the house more, crossfitting with the Mom or Dad when they ask, getting enough sleep to not be a zombie, staying healthy, and growing so fast that in one night he polishes off 4 1/2 pound burgers like they were crackers.........

He is growing up way too fast, but is doing so in such a way that I love him so much more every day and am so darn proud of him I gush when I talk about him.

We can't wait for the big games to start!!!!

LAST..

Tonight I dared to be kinda sad that we hit our last football practice of the season. I was a little sad that Jax was so sick that he missed practice on Wednesday due to a lil vomitinatious~ness. Yeah, I made the word up. Move on.

Well, instead of being all wishy washy and watching all the boys in awe... they pissed me off in a huge way. I was not paying attention to the pre-practice festivities that were going on. Coach was in a meeting and our boys were tossing the ball around. I heard another Dad yell in his most feminine voice, "Aww come on boys..." which was not loud enough for Tommy to hear on the other side of my chair.

I looked up and watched the coaches sons running around pulling down the shorts of all the boys on the team. Normally this would not happen in full gear, but tonight was offense night so we practiced in shorts and shirts with helmets.

I turned to Dad and said, "I will fix this and they will listen to me!"

Off I trotted to the center of the field and yelled, "What in the hell are you doing? Are you freakin kidding me? You can knock this crap off and act your age or I will go and get Joe and I can guarantee you that you will run a minimum of 20 laps around this park. (Discovery park is pretty grande to run around that many times) Got it?

I thought one might have piddled a little in his pants. Coaches daughter bolted for the meeting to tell him what happened and all the boys abruptly about faced for their parents who didn't dare open their mouths to utter a sound.

I smiled and winked at Jax (because let's face it, we all know he is not the kid that would pull someones shorts down).

Practice somehow ran very smoothly and no one said a thing to me. Jax informed me that all the boys asked if they thought I would tell coach and they said I scare them. That seems to be the consenses with a lot of people lately. Still unsure why so I may have to research this one......

Works for me! I tell you what, my kid would have had his ass handed to him had he been the one pulling that crap on the field.........

HIS FIRST......

Jax is #25

Jax loves this game. He was devastated when he thought he would be too heavy to play quarterback but was willing to give the line a try. Even after his first week of practice and weighing in under the line limit, he found out quickly that any position that allows him to tackle the quarterback and the running backs... oh who am I kidding..... he likes tackling anyone and everyone so he immediately lost all interest in the offense.

The first games of the season were quite the learning experience. This season runs exactly like the NFL season. They play games but work on the fundamentals of the game in preparation for the fall season. The coaches are actually on the field assisting the boys but need to be clear of all plays and no one is allowed to argue calls with the refs. The league is all about teaching respect for each other and ones own self and I love that any parent that causes problems will be escorted out by security, and will not return. It is huge since come fall season, we will be traveling all over Arizona for these games.

It was so fun sitting in the high school stands watching the boys play... and then getting to hear their names on the loud speaker when they made a good play. I tried so hard to get the videos of Jax's tackles and them announcing his name but..... it just did not work because I was way too slow when he made a good play and the announcer got it out there. Technically speaking, they don't keep track of the wins vs. the losses, but they keep score and stats... and we do know who wins. Jax was so excited that they won their first game and had 6 major tackles during that game. 18-0 was a great way to start the season. They played a second game at 5PM the same day. It started out rough. The quicker kids on his team got a rude awakening about big boys and getting their bells rung. Jax's coach switched the positions around after the purple team scored their first touchdown. He told Jax to "take the big kid down and don't be intimidated"....... Jax goes to school with him so he was excited to go up against someone who is two grades older than him. He rocked this game and they ended up winning 12-6.

Lesson learned.... the bigger they are - the harder they fall.

He even earned his first sak. We are definately gonna enjoy the next few months... even if it entails 4 or 5 practices a week and 2 games on Saturday.

*Just a Mom's bragging side note. Coach Joe's son Jozia celebrated his birthday on Sunday. We went and had a fun filled day. I was such a proud mom when Joe pulled me aside and asked me how Jax was liking playing and practicing. I explained to him that he has fallen head over heels in love with the game. He loves playing defense.. can take or leave the whole offense thing.. but wants to learn learn learn. He was even more excited to find out that we run Jaxi through some Crossfit workouts. It was when Joe told me that Jax is a true natural when it comes to the game, that I got really excited for Jax . Joe explained that Jax listens, learns, and demonstrates what he has been taught. Plus he just does not let anyone get past him.. He finished with, "Jax is just a good boy and I am really glad he is on our team!" That is what makes me proud. That and the fact that he actually stopped to help up anyone he took down on the field and anyone he "might have slightly injured" at his first two games.

I can not wait for your Grammies and Grampies to see you in action!!!!

PUMMELING

After a lot of himming and hawing, dragging my feet, making excuse after excuse, forcing straight A report cards, making him promise outrageous things, making him ask me 25 times at a bare minimum, making him work extra hard at wall ball workouts, making him run and run and run, making him start practicing yoga and then more wall ball workouts... hoping and praying that all this would discourage the boy..........

it has only made him stronger, more resilient and more determined to be the best there ever was........

Jax starts tackle football tomorrow and I think I am already hyperventilating. The thought of what could happen has me in fear mode. I know what could happen. I took some pretty hard hits playing softball (a broken eye socket was probably the worst it ever got and I know that is nothing compared to what could happen) so I am just hoping that Jax is going to listen and practice exactly like his coaches tell him.

Nothing like waiting until the midnight hour..... I signed Jax up on Saturday and practice starts two days later.... NICE. He is amped beyond words. We went and bought his new cleats. He picked out his Under Armour football gloves and is beaming. If I would let him, he would be outside all night practicing. His intention is to be the quarterback. He is the go to kid at school for football plays so I am hoping that, what I think I see as his Mom, is really the RAW talent that many parents keep telling me has. I don't want to be that parent that is blind to their child's inability to play and forces them into it anyway.

Jax has the drive right now. He definitely is large enough to hold his own and since he is going to play by weight... well, the possibility exists that he could be playing with high school boys.

We shall see how this all goes. He starts out with 4-5 practices a week. Bootcamp style. I love this. I will get to get my second workout of the day in during his practice time and Binky and Justice will get to play until they fall over from exhaustion.

Bring on the pummeling!

TERRIBLE TONSILS

My big boy is, finally, minus his terrible tonsils and annoying adenoids that have caused him to be way too sick over the past few years. I was so tired of entire weeks of illness and chronic pain and countless medications that did not work anymore. i am not kidding when I say that there were times that my poor boy was sick for 3 weeks straight from these horrible tonsils. It has been going on for 4 years now... I don't know how he managed it, but even with all the days he was absent from being so darn sick, my little man still managed to get straight A's every year, for all four quarters!

Jax has been counting down the days to his surgery. He was so excited to finally be able to breathe normally and to not have to worry about getting strep throat or tonsillitis every month. That was, until last night. It finally dawned on him that surgery just might be a scary thing and he started to get the jitters.

I hardly slept at all last night and I know Jax only slept a few hours. I guess that worked out to his advantage in the beginning... but then the doctor was running about 2 hours behind schedule and my boy started to get hungry. That is always a huge ordeal with my big 9 year old baby boy.

At 10:30 a.m. they finally took my baby back for his surgery. I was fine until Tommy left me in the waiting room to run to Starbucks. It was then that I realized how agonizingly hard it must have been for my parents and Tommy and the rest of our family, when I had my wreck. I only had 34 minutes of waiting. They had 31 days. I was a basket case by the time the nurse walked us back to recovery.

In typical Jensen fashion, Jax had an adverse reaction to the anesthesia. He woke up swinging at the nurses and had to be sedated, twice. There is no denying he is mine and Tommy's boy!

The nurse's and doctor thought it odd that both Jax and I were eager to see the tonsils. Jax re-thought that one after his surgery, when he was so out of it he couldn't speak. The doctor told us that they were pretty large and it was good to get them out so Jax could get back to being a healthy soccer player.

I am just so glad he is home safe and sound. He was so sick on the way home that all he wanted to do was rest. Not even ice-cream could grab his attention for more than 5 minutes. Thankfully he should be back to his wonderful self in time for Sea World and the beach next month!

On another note... we finished the night off in typical crazy day Jensen chaos mode. Brinkley wanted desperately for her ginormous cat, Spike, to come and lay with us while we had movie night on the family room floor. Somehow she slipped, with her 30+ pound feline phenom, in her arms, and fell straight onto her back while tumbling down the stairs. So, to add to an already crazy busy day, Daddy finished it all up by adding the proverbial cherry to the sundae, by spending the last few hours of the night in the emergency room, with Binky, and her severely bruised little back!
