My kids have lists of chores that they get each weekend. They (as in Jax) think it is a fate worse than death some days. They don't get it when I explain to them that I had to do my chores every flippen Saturday from the moment I woke up, until they were done. No questions asked! PERIOD! It is starting to sink in with a few and not so much with one. Jax likes to stay in bed as long as possible, hoping that if he sleeps in, I will maybe forget to make him clean.
The best part about it is that Justice is all about helping me do everything these days. He wants Mommy to make him a list of chores with bubbles to fill in when he finishes up and he wants, "hard," chores. None of these, "baby," chores anymore. I asked him what he meant by no more, "baby," chores? Justice told me that he is sick of having to just pick up toys and shoes... he wants real chores....like doing real dishes and picking up the dog poop with the real gloves on.
Love it!!!!
But for now, we are trying to stick with cleaning off the kitchen table and..

Catchin Up~
So many things to be catchin up on these days!!!
I should talk about how Tommy spent a few days in the hospital after being transported for fainting at the store..... with the flu. Being held, in custody, as I am calling it, for two entire days, with no family being able to come see you because they are all too sick to visit, is no way to be sick. I am sure that having the flu and having to be transported by ambulance isn't going to be one of Tommy's bright spots of 2011 either. Thankfully he had some really cool, "night," nurses that were on the ball. They figured out that the day nurses missed all his medications. If I had been there ... I just won't even go there. I was too sick to even really function at that point.... this whole family was too sick to function so it just is not even worth complaining about anymore. We are 100% on the mend and so ready to get back to working out it is not even funny anymore. If only the littlest dude could get rid of this horrible cough now. I figured out that he has really had it for over 2 months. The doctor said that it is not uncommon for them to last longer than over 4 and that no medications are helping. That is promising........................
We were doing so amazing with our workouts that I feel defeated because of the entire families' illness. With everything from the flu to bronchitis, to ear infections to strep... I just wanted to run far and fast from this house. I had phone calls from people complaining that I didn't call or text or whatever.... to give all the details about what happened.... not that it would have changed anything or they would have come to our rescue. Sometimes I don't know why I bother, but whatever!!!! We were all sick.. and busy...and that was all I could worry about... functioning... and not falling down the stairs. Actually, busy does not even begin to describe things. I do know that I am past grouchy. I have hit exhausted, so that puts me into the realm of yelling and not one person in this house is lifting a finger to help do a single thing without being threatened within inches of their lives, so that pretty much puts me near, "ready to sell the kids!" They think I am kidding. They keep laughing. Justice keeps pushing me to the breaking point. He thinks flicking the dog with his rubber alligator is the funniest thing ever. The poor dog cries. I would too. I am ready to. I am ready for Spring Break. It is too far away to be counting down yet, but I am.
Jax will start football again, soon. He moves up to the Pee Wee division... so he won't be the biggest kid out there anymore. It will do him good to get back into the game, even though he really has only had about 7 weeks off. Luckily a few Crossfit workouts here and there and running club is helping to keep him in somewhat, decent shape! He has been doing a lot of growing. Walking home from school the other day... someone said he is talker than me now. I suspect they were lying. At least they better have been. Tommy told me that he really is taller than me. I am convinced he is lying too. Somehow, in my mind, there is just no way that my little baby can be taller than me. Unfortunately, I know it is probably true........
On other side notes.......I tried on my most favorite Vegas little, "not so black," dress. I love this baby. And she does not fit any more!!! She is too big.. ( "TEARS OF JOY")... but I was devastated. Tommy's response..... we can go and get it fitted. Ummm, that is not how this dress works hon, but thanks. Frederick's of Hollywood corset... here I come. that'll fix the problem right up!!!!!
I am happy to finally be finding the energy to do a "real" Spring cleaning on this monster disaster of a house we live in. Since we have decided to stay here and not walk away, I have made the decision to clean every nook and cranny out..... and all the corners are getting cleaned out, deep. I scheduled my favorite cleaner to come to do the, "dreaded hard core nook and cranny cleaning stuff," that, admittedly, I either just can't because of my back and foot (and leg and knee and every other injury under the sun.....) or hate doing and find it easier to have a real professional do. It will be wonderful to have her come and do everything so that my house will be in tip top brand spanking model home shap for me to start Spring Break/vacation with!!!! That is always the worst thing in the worth in the world for me..... coming home from going somewhere with our family... to a house that needs cleaning, and no one wants to help clean so I get stuck doing everything myself. This way... it is a win..WIN and Mommy is going to be one very happy vacationer!!!!!
Pudgie informed me that he has his first, "wiggly," tooth! He is over the moon thrilled. Brinkley had to test it to make sure that he was not lying. She looked over to me and said, "you are going to cry aren't you?" Yep pretty much is all I could think. My baby .... and his first wiggly tooth. That is bull----!
I am counting the days to Spring break now. I never do that. Ever. Our family needs a break. These past few weeks have been hard on all of us and the month of December was hard on all of us with Tommy working the Task Force. It seems like last year was a very hard year. I don't know why. I think Tommy's squad took a lot more out of this family than he really realizes. He has been, "gone," a lot and couple that with how much time we spent on the football field every week and weekend... from July until December.... it has really been a very trying six months for all of us. I just found out that, once again, Tommy was nominated for Supervisor of the Year. That is beyond exciting. I just hope that we are here for the awards banquet over the kids' spring break. Of course this year, families are invited...... that just figures.........and speaking of spring break.....
Spring Break can't get here soon enough. I hope that the kids do well over the next three weeks of school so that we can just kick back and relax. I can't get warm sun out of my mind. Our weather is supposed to get warmer and warmer here. My nerves, as I posted about before, are beyond pain level crazy at this point with our weather as bad as it has been, pretty much.... they are shot, to the point... I could literally shoot my own foot off and it really would not matter to me anymore. I don't remember this kind of cold in Phoenix since I had my accident so I have not had to deal with this, ever. No amount of hot water can fix what I have to deal with..... and not being able to feel my foot under the hot water of a bath ends up causing blisters...... but at least I can laugh about it. It really isn't funny, especially when I have a horrible doctor....but that is another post to slit my own throat over!!!!
Man, going back and reading this, it sounds like things suck around here... which really is not the case. We are all doing well. I still have about 9 posts to finish up on and add pictures to. We have done so many things and gone places and had a lot of fun. The past two and half weeks have just literally sucked everything out of me and I am just slowly getting back to normal! I am just happy to finally get back to walking everyday with my walking Buddy, sleeping in the same bed with my love, and to no longer have every single dish in my cabinets dirty...and in the kitchen sink... because no one was healthy enough to wash dishes!!!! A clean kitchen does wonders for felling better!!!!!
We should have some company coming to visit soon. Maybe a trip to get some suitcases out for. Not before the garbage bags come out though......... I can't wait for the Spring cleaning..... it is so, so long over due. And so are all the up coming posts!!!!! But at the very least, we are healthy now!!!!!! I still have about well, a few pounds to lose... but they will go... for now, I am happy with the many, MANY double digits that have vanished!!!!! once I get the rest of my photos downloaded I will get them on here!!!!
FOR NOW...LIFE IS GOOD!!!

exactly, Pudgie~
Ok, seriously.....
Why am I always that person that people want to chat up their ideals and beliefs with, at the most inappropriate times?
I made the "simple" decision to take Justice to the dollar store with me... to grab some pool stuff and get the heck outta dodge. Well, as luck would have it, we were like 2 minutes too late to check out before "woman with 1000 items" got to the checker. Now, she immediately apologized for all her items.... which was random... because why apologize for the snazzy stuff you are buying... right?
So being me, I check out.. ok, I oogle, all her goodies. She is planning a par-tay... least that is what I deduce. I am kinda right. I make the huge mistake of commenting/questioning...... "wow, are you having a huge end of the year party for your kids with all your fun stuff?" Common sense right? 50 palm trees, 20 blow ups and party supplies later........I am thinking, wow, we need to up our party supplies for our party that is coming up........ WRONG...............
Dear Lord, here it comes............and I will sum what quote was, from there on out, continuously, with one breath.......... spewed.....
"well, I was raised Penticostal and my father is a Baptist Minister but I am now learning Jewish Sabbath which has a huge party later on in the year having to do with trees. Now I am not a cult freak or anything like that, because most people think when I start talking I am talking about a cult but you should really look up how the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday but we still honor the Sabbath on Saturday which makes it hard because all of our sporting games and such are on Saturday so I never know what to do because most of the town is Mormon....they honor the sabbath on Sunday," pause for a breath, look at me, (which, at this point I think I may have some drool puddling around the corners of my mouth and my eyes have rolled back into my head, and I am thinking, WHY DON'T I EVER JUST SHUT MY MOUTH??????) She asks, Are you Mormon? I kinda shake back to reality and say,
"UM No."
(seriously....I am wearing a tank top, a push up bra, a cross on my necklace and I had just pretty much told my son to stop flippen touching everything and asking to buy everything he could grab or I would beat his ass in the store.. and you know I didn't say flippen' right?)......
So then I ask....
"Uh yeah, no I am not Mormon, why, do I look LDS???
Not offending anyone here... but they just don't wear tank tops in my neighborhood and boobs are not talked about let alone seen......... Seriously, the cross shoulda been a dead give away!!!
Any whose....................she wasn't even listening again..... she just started with her gobble-de-gook.
She gurgled and started in, with. "You should google "blah blah blah, it will explain how the Jewish believe..........." Blank stare........I seriously could not keep up with this woman.
Something about going camping for a week to celebrate trees or something.
Something about fasting to save paper
and then there was the whole, "my father keeps asking me if I am in a cult."
"Ahhh."
"Hmm, Are you?"
(WTF, where in the world did that one come from? I mean come on DeAnna, do not encourage this woman.) I needed Tommy there. He would have ignored the woman and walked out with nothing. Yep, he woulda left everything on the belt and kept on going.
She starts in again.
The checker was finally done and I really believed it would all end right then and there. Nope. Not my luck. She pulls her cart to the side and keeps blah blah blahing.........
Now, I truly love to learn about religions. I ask people all kinds of questions about their religion... all the time. I probably irritate a lot of people. I am so not kidding....... With that said.. I am not a lost soul that needs saving. I am just curious about what and why people believe the things they do. I do find it really disturbing that so many people feel the need to defend what they believe and then repeatedly tell me they are not part of a cult. Which chatty Cathy just kept going on and on and on and on about......
Thankfully Justice stepped in. My oh so wonderful little boy finally just looked at this woman and said,
"We have to go swimming. Can you please stop talking."
My thoughts exactly Pudgie, my thoughts exactly!!!
