BARGAIN MONDAY!

I love bargain Mondays. Or bargain Sunday's for that matter. I had Pudgie today so that is always a gamble for me on how much I can really get done. Today was good! I was armed with three organized lists of coupon only items and I was absolutely not going to deviate from my lists. Every item had a coupon and not a single item more would be bought...I hoped! Plus I was only taking $40.00 cash with me and I had already made out my totals so we only had a $10.00 pad in case something was sold out and or Pudgie threw a major fit and I had to stuff him with goodies not on the list!

Here is my break down:
15 packages of Keebler fudge cookies
10 Betty Crocker cookie mix pouches
10 cans of Hormel chili
8 bottles of Welchs light grape juice
6 boxes of Eggo frozen waffles (60 total)
4 packages of Dole cherry fruit cups (16 cups)
4 Knorr side dishes
3 Pillsbury pizza crust rolls
3 Betty Crocker AuGratin potatoes
2 wheat Buitoni Tortellini noodles
2 bags Cheetos

70 items total were bought making them cost approximately 42.67 cents each! (yes, that is a smoking deal especially for the Welchs grape juice .. even better than any dollar store I have ever been to!!)

My bill was $210.27 which was done in 3 transactions at Fry's

I PAID $29.87 TOTAL FOR EVERYTHING!!

SCORE!!!

(I look at it as the grape juice was normally $4.19. I paid for 7 bottles of juice and got everything else free!!!!! But that is just me!)

Side note
** For those that really know us, Tommy and I will not eat 90% of this food. It will go for snacks for his new squad and the kids. I can't beat it when summer is coming and I can freeze the cookies for movie days! And I can fake more christmas cookies next year!**

8 Lightbulb moments:

TOMMY AND I EAT HARD BOILED EGGS LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW. I BUY MY PROTEIN SHAKES AT COSTCO AND THEN I DO A LOT OF CHICKEN AND RICE. I CHEAT, TRUST ME I LOVE CHEAT FOODS BUT I SERIOUSLY WATCH MY CALORIES WHEN I AM CHEATING. AND I AM WORKING MY REAR END OFF AT THE GYM. I AM SCOURING THE WEB ALL THE TIME FOR NEW EXERCISES FOR THE GYM AND DIFFERENT WAYS TO CHANGE UP THE ROUTINE. I HAVE KINDA GOTTEN AWAY FROM DOING THE EXACT SAME EXERCISES AS TOMMY BUT IT SERIOUSLY COMES DOWN TO ME WATCHING CALORIES. AND ON THAT NOTE AND TOMMY WILL VERIFY THIS ONE... WHEN I ACTUALLY SIT DOWN FOR A MEAL, PUDGIE IS RIGHT IN MY LAP AND HE EATS HALF OF MY FOOD PLUS HIS OWN PLATE OF FOOD. THAT REALLY HELPS. I WANT TO DO ANOTHER CLEANSE HERE IN THE NEXT WEEK, SO THAT WILL BE A CHALLENGE! CALORIE COUNTING SERIOUSLY! (AND PORTION CONTROL!)

your so cute..you would be a really good trainer, and you should think about that when the kids get older and you actually have some time to think...
but...................
what i meant was....
how do you get all kinds of healthy edible food for free...
love you chica...
no one ever gives coupons for baby spinach...and tomatoes...
and whole wheat flour, and wheat germ, and whole rolled oats...the stuff i feed the kids.
I need a way to get it for FREE or almost free....

DeAnna~ RIGHT ON! I hope I can get there by tomorrow night!

ValorieJane~ I'm with ya. I do the coupons like DeAnna, but I try to feed my kids quazi-organic foods and primarily items you find in the produce section. Not gonna happen on a coupon budget. My secret dollar weapon is my garden. :)

wishtrish~ Thats what I am hoping for too..we just moved to Wisconsin from Az, so I am thinking...I can grow anything here...grass grows all by itself!!! The only thing is, I might over water...will keep ya posted tho...My husband eats enough junk that maybe I should look at coupons..I am not lucky like DeAnna in that respect. My husband would rather have a six pack of coke and a bag of chips for dinner..ha ha..he is doing better though..he at least sneaks it now!!
I just need you ladies to teach me, I know NOTHING!!!

YOU GUYS ARE SO FUNNY. I WILL TELL YOU THAT HEALTHY EATING IS NOT CHEAP. TOMMY EATS A PARTICULAR SALMON AND IT IS NOT CHEAP AND HE WILL NOT CHANGE FROM IT SO WE COMPENSATE AND WAIT FOR EVERYTHING ELSE TO GO ON SALE.WHEN HEALTHY STUFF IS ON SALE I BUY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. IT IS HARD TO BE HEALTHY! JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE HOW RIPPED MY SHOULDERS ARE GETTING THOUGH. IT IS SO WORTH IT. BUT DARN IT... SO ARE THE REESE'S SOME DAYS.. WHICH I MIGHT ADD, I HAVE NOT HAD ONE SINCE ASH WEDNESDAY.. WHICH WAS IN FEBRUARY THIS YEAR!!! YIKES!
