Okay all you type A personalities. I am begging you for any and all help on how you organize your house. This is my spring cleaning week and I need to figure out a real system for my house. Everything from how you organize your tupperware lids and bowls to cleaning supplies. Linen closets to kids toys. I am looking to everyone who is crazy anal about an immaculte house. I was in my girlfriends house yesterday.... you can eat off of her floors and I am just inspired to clean this little shack we live in so that Jax and Binky's spring break is all about fun in the sun with friends and family..............

5 Lightbulb moments:
I'm going to need to check back here often to see what ideas you're offered. I have all the good intentions of simplifying and organizing, and then life gets in the way. So, I'm sorry, I've got no advice to give, other than, I've got cupboards of toys locked away so I can rotate them for the kids. That way, the mess is reduced and when I do bring out the new toys, it's like Christmas all over again. Good Luck!
Ok, so I have to admit, I stalk your blog. All the time. Your T27 post takes my breath away. I remember your accident. I remember the television coverage. Seeing your accident scene as channel 3 flew over it. Your interviews in the hospital and when you got home. Your babies... Wow, your family has come full circle. What an inspiration you are to women out there with no real strength. I am in awe of your life and how you have made, what most would have called a pity party, into a dream come true. I don't doubt that it is difficult but anyone can see that you don't wallow in self pity! A shining example to those that don't believe in the power of a positive life and attitude.
As far as your organizing goes.... I think that you have said it best before... you will never have a clean house as long as there are kids in it. And really, will it matter then, when the nest is empty?
I am very, very particular about organizing with everything having its place to be.
My first suggestion is to get rid of the family for an unknown amount of time and start with the one room you live in most. (It is usually the kitchen in most families) Organize the heck out of that baby and move on. Baskets, bins, jars.. whatever it takes. Just make sure that you have someone you can depend on to keep the family away because we all know that you will never get it done if you have someone tugging at your leg, someone needing a glass of milk or juice and someone needing a band aid. Moms don't get enough help as it is so asking for some alone time in your own house should not be something you need to beg for!!!
Thank you for always inspiring me and making me laugh!!!
P.S. Have you eaten a reese's peanut butter cup since last year when you gave them up????
If you still need to get organized, I have some friends who started an organizing business. They just did my closet and it looks awesome - it has never been so organized in all it's life! :-) I think they were about $35/hour and it only took about two hours b/c their are two of them. Let me know if you want their info!
